“Baltika”, the first asymmetric icebreaker in the world, completed the trials in the Arctic

The uniqueness of this rescue and salvage ship is provided by the irregular hulk: one board is straight, another one – bumped. This kind of construction enables icebreaker to move to operate not only ahead and astern, but also obliquely (sideways).

Multifunctional vessel can extinguish external fires, make a track in ice, realize rescue operations and monitor the environment.
