New russian icebreakers will be delivered on time

CEO of Rosatomflot stated that difficult economic situation does not affect the timing of construction of new nuclear icebreakers. According to plans, the first universal nuclear-powered icebreaker, which is being built at the Baltic Shipyard, will be put into operation no later than the end of 2017. Another two icebreakers will go into operation no later than the beginning of 2020 and 2021, respectively. New icebreakers that have already received the names of "Arctic", "Siberia" and "Ural" will be able to overcome the almost three-meter multi-year ice and provide wiring vessels of up to one hundred thousand tons.
