The density of cargo traffic at the Northern Sea Route will reach 65 million tons by 2020

This statement was made by the Deputy Minister of Transport Viktor Olersky at the conference “Transport and logistics in the Arctic-2015”.

“However, I would not name transit as the key element of the Northern Sea route traffic. Shipping operations from the Russian shelf comprise the main part,” – specified the Deputy Minister. Main goals include construction of new vessels and development of port infrastructure. The Sabetta port will be a cargo base of the Northern Sea Route.
