Tomsk scientists developed flexible solar batteries for the Arctic

Scientists from the Tomsk State University and Russian Academy of Science presented new type of flexible solar batteries using Gretzel cells.

The foundation for these innovative batteries are oxide nanomaterials and their compositions, the derived solution can be put on any flexible carrier. The new innovative technology can be used in various spheres; one of the options is to create special tissue capable of generating heat from the solar light. Light and warm clothes made from this tissue will have great importance for people who work in difficult conditions of the Arctic and the Far North.
