Oil platform

Oil platform

Oil platform is a complex engineering system designed for drilling and production of hydrocarbons in the open sea.

Fixed oil platform is usually set at a depth of 500 meters. In the Soviet Union was engaged in the development of such equipment CDB "Coral". Currently, oil platforms in Russia build in Vyborg, Kaliningrad, Astrakhan and Severodvinsk. Also plans to launch production in Vladivostok.

One of the hallmarks of modern oil platforms - work on the principle of zero discharge and ice-resistant, thus ensuring the safety of the work, including the waters of the Arctic Ocean.
